When we first get together, we will
cover such issues as:
a. Time: How long will you
require me to cover your wedding? See section on photo requirements
below.

Pricing options:
Pricing is dependent on your choice of photographic package. Details of the various package options are found
under below.
c. Photo requirements: This
will be a general discussion on the type of coverage / photos you
require for your wedding day. Your requirements will be written down
and used as a reference on the day.
d. Booking: In
order to secure me as your photographer, you will need to make a
booking. A booking fee of 25 percent will be required. The
booking fee is non-refundable if cancelled less than 60 days before the wedding.
e. Images: I retain the digital negatives (images) for 6 months only. The reason for this is to enable family and friends to order their own photographs if required. After this time, I will make an arrangement with you for delivery of the negatives / images. Alternatively, for an extra $120.00, I will hand over the images at the time you collect your photographs. Some people prefer this option in order to avoid coming back and forth to the photographer with new orders.
f. Equipment: The equipment I use for weddings is professional digital - this allows for more cost effective photography without the limitations of considering how many rolls of film will be used on the day.
g. Travel: I will photograph your wedding from north to Noosa, south to Tweed Heads, and west to Toowoomba. As Captive Photographics is based in Brisbane, there will be a moderate travel cost for locations based out of the greater Brisbane area.

Final arrangements will need to be
concluded the week before your wedding. At this point, we will need to
get together for a meeting (approximately a half hour) to discuss the
following:
Wedding Rehearsal:
Where possible, I like to attend the wedding rehearsal in order to
familiarise myself with the format of your wedding. This helps me in
getting the best photos of your wedding without being too obtrusive on
the wedding day. Balance of payment will be required at the time of
the rehearsal, or in the week prior to your wedding.
Specific Photo Requirements:
You will need to consider photographing the bride and bridesmaids
getting ready (if required); the wedding ceremony; family photos;
location of the formal photo shoot; cutting of the cake.
Reception: Photographing your guests (which includes the actual cutting of the cake and bridal dance) is an option which is part of Package 2.
Lee and Jodie (Brisbane Power House)
Family and friends who come to
celebrate your wedding will want a photo to remember your special
occasion together. Immediately after the ceremony, Warren will take
family photos with the bride and groom.
The ceremony will generally last somewhere between 20 to 30 minutes. After the ceremony, family and friends will want to congratulate you (allow approximately 15 minutes for this time). Photographs of the bride and groom with family and friends depends on how large the families are. This session can take longer than expected - up to 30 minutes is not uncommon as photographs are with two families.
For the bridal party photos, you should allow a minimum of one hour. It is important that you also consider the time of the setting of the sun. Remember, if the ceremony starts late, this will impact on the time available for your wedding photos.
On the day, up to 600 photographs could be taken (depending on your package).
Ben and Merridy (Mapleton and Mooloolaba)
There are two options available. Firstly, on returning from your honeymoon, you can make an appointment with me to view your photos. If you are not from Brisbane, this is obviously not possible. The alternative to an appointment is that I provide you with a proof CD with the photographs of your wedding day for you to view on your computer in your own time. This will enable you choose your photographs.
During the appointment time, you will be able to view your photos on a large screen which will help make the decision in choosing your photos a little easier. Whether choosing your photos at my studio or in your own home, it is necessary to have your photo order completed within two months from the date of your wedding.
Wedding albums (traditional and magazine style) are also available at a reasonable price. Each album is prepared according to your preferences.
An excellent alternative to a photo album and much more affordable is the coffee table photo book. Please check out the books from previous weddings on the wedding photos page.
This will be arranged at a mutually
acceptable time when both you as a couple and myself can get together.
It is expected that this should happen as soon as possible after your
honeymoon.
Captive Photographics prefers to provide clients with a coffee table, limited edition, photo book of your wedding day. These books are stunning and impressive. They are more easily viewed than a traditional wedding album, and much easier to store. Photo books contain many more photos than the photo album, and the best news is that they are considerably more cost effective.
The coffee table photobook comes in A5, A4 and A3 size - portrait or landscape. An A4 sample of the coffee table photo book is provided below. Further samples are available to view on the wedding photos page.

Once you announce your wedding date and send out all the invitations, people often wonder what to buy for a gift. Why not suggest to your family and friends a gift certificate.
